Agfest is a multi award-winning agricultural field days event, proudly organised by the dedicated volunteer members of Rural Youth Tasmania. These passionate and innovative young leaders invest countless hours into planning, managing and delivering an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends.
I’m really looking forward to being part of it this year, alongside the team from Rural Alive & Well, who do incredible work supporting strong, connected and resilient rural communities.
Agfest 2026 will be held “in the paddock” from 7–9 May, with gates open daily from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
There truly is something for everyone at Agfest. Whether you’re checking out the latest machinery, exploring new vehicles, or discovering innovative products, it’s all there in one place. If you’ve got an interest in history, the Heritage Display offers a great look at how agriculture and rural life have evolved over time.
And with Mother’s Day just around the corner, the Craft Pavilions and Craft Market are well worth a visit—featuring some of Tasmania’s best handmade goods and artisan creations. When it’s time to refuel, you can’t go past the Quercus Tastes food areas, showcasing a delicious range of fresh, local Tasmanian produce.
